Returning my Strix UCWG
I decided to run a two monitor set up with my benq 3226 32" IPS as my main for productivity, and get the strix 32" UCWG. Well, it came, and initially looked great. I started testing it out and sure enough ran into problems. With dark wallpapers (like one of the earth from space) and dark videos, there was AWFUL blotchiness and pixelation with transitions from dark shadows to lighter objects (didn't have to be a bright object, just lighter than black). It looked like poorly-rendered graphics.
Honestly, I don't understand why this is happening. I tested it using black screen tests, and everything was fine. I changed tons of settings including switching HDR on and off, changing saturation ratios, pixel contouring, sharpness, contrast, etc. Nothing. I read other people having problems with other OLED panels. Is this a common issue? Cause at this point now I'm considering just getting a EX321Ux.
