My Friend is Helping Another Friend do Edibles
Basically, these friends had mutual feelings for each other and would text late into the night, and one of the conversations they had was about my friend (F15) wanting to do weed. My other friend (15M) who basically bends at her will, offered to bring his dad's edibles to school for her to do, and when I found out, he insisted that she had done her research and it wasn't a problem. I pressed the friend planning to do them, making sure she knew the risks, but even when she said she had done extensive research to mitigate risks, she still was talking about doing them monthly and for fun instead of as a cope for depression. Previously, this friend has made countless jokes about doing drugs, but insisted she would never actually try them (especially before 25) because she knows how prone to addiction she is. I've constantly pressed my friend who's enabling her about it being a bad idea, but he won't budge. I had an anxiety attack in class today over what I should do. On one hand, I don't want to let this happen because of how much I care about my friend, but on the other, if I stand in their way too much I could jeopardize my friendships with them both.
Am I overreacting, and if not, what should I do?
