Hi everyone, I have a question regarding the medical. I have gyno, and I am considering surgery for it (it’s not a life-saving one or anything of a nature that serious, just tissue removal). However, I’m wondering if having the surgery could negatively impact my application. I’m aware that I’d likely be made to wait some more before joining, which is totally fine, my main concern would just be getting rejected outright for it, because I’ve heard all kinds of things about people getting rejected for medical things they had years and years ago/in their childhood. In which case, I’d probably not have the surgery. I’d really appreciate if anyone could provide any information!

I’m posting this simply because I’m still developing a properly optimistic mindset, and so I’m having a hard time with finding any good things that are being done to combat the fire/will come out of the fires. And I would really appreciate if an optimist could point out some potential good that may come from this extremely saddening situation.

I’ve heard that Royal Marines are told what specialisation they’ll do rather than being able to pick and guarantee they can specialise in that thing. I’d like to know because this would have a pretty big impact on whether I join the Army or the Royal Marines.

Title is pretty much it. I’m wondering whether I should go to Uni before joining the Army, as I don’t plan to spend my whole career in the military and would like to have a civilian job as a psychologist, which requires a degree.

Also I’ve heard it’s a good idea to not just go straight into the forces after school just to get some experience with being an adult outside of the military.

The main question is just whether I go to Uni (probably do reserves as well) then go to the regular army, or just join the army straight up, as it’s been my main career interest for quite some time.

Anyone know any things I can do locally to support ecosystems/help with climate change, especially involving a garden? I really wanna get involved.

Long story short, I plan on going to uni after finishing school, so I was planning on doing Army Reserves, and why I chose Army Reserves over the RMR probably seems very strange, but because I’m on ADHD medication which (I last checked so I could fully be wrong and would really appreciate any correction) you need to be off of three years before joining the Royal Marines, which is basically almost the same length as my degree, I don’t want to spend three years off my meds just to end up leaving before I can join the RMR, so I’ve decided to go Army reserves instead at Uni. I’m probably going to do reserves anyway regardless of whether it’ll give me an edge in training, but I was also wondering if it could help at all?
