I would like to set up the simplest / cheapest possible system to get water from a ~300 ft well up to ground level without having a conditioned structure available to house a tank.
I gather that the most elegant solution would be a "self contained" system with a submersible pump, an "in-casing" tank with either a VFD pump or a "cycle stop valve" below a pitless adapter the runs to a frost protected spigot.
But is there a cheaper option? Can I just put in a submersible pump, prick a 1/16" hole in the pipe below the frost line, and run the pipe straight up through to well seal and into a faucet, and just switch on the pump when I need water?
Any better ideas?
