New Exam/Current Exam

I am writing this in regard to those who are worried about taking the new PMP exam or if they will not have enough time to take the current version. I have been watching most of Andrew Ramdayal’s weekly Lives on YouTube.

He claims that while writing the new PMBOK 8th study guide, there are not as many changes as people think. He also claims that if you are knowledgeable enough on the current version, you could probably pass the new exam. However, when they change study hall, I would run through that just to see what kind of new lingo they word. I believe it’s still going to be situational. The mindset is going to apply regardless.

My only concern with the new exam is that PMI is going to be more rigorous on their scoring because how lenient they have been on the last month’s worth of exams passing people with below target scores. I am assuming they are doing this so that they can get people through that have already been studying. I have seen more below target passes the last month then I have my entire time on this channel so do not kid yourself if the exam scoring becomes harder once they implement the new eighth edition exam.

That said, they will be updating study hall. I’m sure so it would not hurt to go through study hall, practice questions, and many exams to understand their new language and curriculum towards each domain.
Good luck, if you are already studying for the exam, I would take the exam as soon as possible because like I said PMI seems to be passing people with one and even two below target scores so you have a pretty good chance of passing regardless
