Not sure what to do
Long story short, I tried killing myself a few weeks ago (it wasn’t my first time), went unconscious for a day, intubated and all that. I suffered from depression and anxiety for almost a year (diagnosed, probably was already suffering pre-diagnosis). I have a KCL MBBS conditional offer on hand asking A*AA including biology and chemistry. I used to do 5 A Levels including also maths further maths and physics, but now dropped FM and physics. I have no confidence at all in meeting the offer. I couldn’t even finish a full paper without having a panic attack and having my hands shaking like crazy.
I have submitted mitigating circumstances with my discharge letter and diagnosis from the mental health services to both KCL and the exam board (but the exam board will only have special consideration open after results are out and offering max 5% mark increase). I have read the KCL website and they also said they’re not offering mitigating circumstances on AL and IB etc as these exam boards already have “things in place”, being the 5% max boost.
I was already not going to classes (I only go to the SENCO people if I could manage on the day and study on my own) for around 2/3 months leading up to this instance.
This is my only shot as this is my only offer, and I am more than sure that I wouldn’t be getting this offer any time soon as I’m not fit at all to even go through this UCAT and interview and A Level rounds all again.
Not sure what to do. I’m trying to start revising back again with my first exams coming up in less than 2 weeks. I have reached out to all places I could to do whatever I could. But after all that, it doesn’t seems that I’m in a good position for meeting this.
