Hi all!

Getting married in late June. Have an in-person appointment setup through Project Cupid in 2 weeks to get our marriage license at the downtown Manhattan office.

Question - I have a family member that will be the officiant, so we need to set up an officiant license appointment for him as well. Trying to knock this out in one day -

1. Is it possible to set this appointment the same day / in conjunction with the Marriage License appointment? I know it says the couples must first have their license before the officiant can get theirs, but if you get the license immediately, is booking a same day officiant appointment a possibility?
2. If not, how soon after the marriage license appointment can the officiant get their license?

I know there's also a mail-in option for the officiant. He lives a little over an hour upstate, so for anyone who has done it that way, is that the better option?
