Have learned a lot from this group, so thank you!

Question: I'm trying to reduce cost of my trip without worsening the experience. I have currently planned 2 stay at hotel between Vik ans Jokukslarlon, in order to do glacier trip. But that hotel is much more expensive than rest of trip and also it will be the most driving.

Would it be a mistake to not go to Jokulslarlon? Alternative plan would be to go to Snaefellness on 26th (is Snaefellness to Hella a sensible drive or better to return to Reykjavik?) and maybe do Westmann Islands on 28th, but not drive further than Vik and therefore pay less in hotels.
