A few simple website & admin fixes that helped the small businesses I worked with
I’ve been working as a VA/Web Designer for small businesses and breeders, mostly helping with Showit websites, SEO cleanup, admin support, and online organization.
A few small changes I noticed made a surprisingly big difference for clients:
- Updating SEO titles/meta descriptions consistently
- Setting up Google Search Console + GA4 properly
- Compressing website images to improve load speed
- Cleaning navigation/menu structure
- Creating simple workflows for inquiries and client follow-ups
- Organizing backend systems so owners spend less time answering repetitive questions
One thing I learned is that many small businesses don’t necessarily need a full rebrand or expensive overhaul — sometimes they just need better organization and consistency online.
I’m still learning every day, but working behind the scenes with small businesses has shown me how much time owners lose on tasks that could be streamlined pretty easily.
Curious if anyone else here has experienced “small fixes = big improvements” in their business.
