UCLA Waitlist
Literally as I was getting ready for graduation on Saturday I got off of the waitlist. I had told myself that if I didn’t get off the waitlist before graduation I wouldn’t consider switching schools, but technically I did.
I’m planning on double majoring in econ and international development, which I mentioned in my loci, but I applied as pre econ.
Honestly I really don’t know what to do because I loved ucla when I visited and I can 100% imagine my life there but I feel kinda attached to my current school, gatech. Obviously I wouldn’t let that sway my decision but when I first start college applications I knew I didn’t want to stay in Georgia but gatech was the best school I got into and I have instate tuition and the zell milller scholarship, a full tuition merit scholarship.
Based on cost it seems gatech would be the better choice, but with either option I won’t be taking on loans, also I haven’t gotten my ucla financial aid yet but I know I’ll be paying full tuition.
Overall ucla has the better econ program and overall prestige, though it doesn’t really matter, and I think I’ll enjoy life more in la, though it is more expensive than atl. I have till the 23rd to decide so I’m trying not to be to rash , but if anyone has an advice or thoughts please share especially if your a current ucla econ major
