Finding friends here can be hard but this may help

For context I'm a fellow DTV expat, been here about 3 months. I've been to the meetups, the dinner apps, but only really found shallow one-off "acquaintances" with no real connection.

So as one does in the age of vibe coding, I've spent the last month building a friend matching app that actually tries to solve the "one-off acquaintance" problem instead of just adding another meetup to the pile. Instead of matching you and leaving you to figure it out over a single coffee, it matches you into a small group or a 1-on-1 based on real personality/attachment-style compatibility (not just shared interests), then books you into the same low-key hangout — same spot, same time — once a week for three weeks straight. The idea is that repetition is what actually turns a stranger into a friend, not one good conversation.

Heads up: it's currently matching within Bangkok (Sukhumvit/Thonglor/Ekkamai area specifically), so it'll work best if you're based around there.

Let me be clear this is 100% free, and I'm genuinely building this to help people (and selfishly myself) build real, authentic friendships.

It's now ready for trial, and the biggest hurdle is having the user base to make good matches — so if the pool's still small when you sign up, your first match might take a little while rather than being instant. That's not it being broken, just needing more people in the area. I've got a thumbs up from mods and am hoping to get as many people in the matching pool as possible!

Check it out for yourself and please keep comments respectful, genuinely trying to help others like me who find it hard to make authentic connections 🙏 Thanks everyone!

So I've been researching cat friendly condos and am worried that "pet friendly" ones will be filled with noisy dogs. No problem with dogs but yeah, not trying to be up all night hearing barking 😅

For the cat owners here, what are your top picks for reasonably priced 1/2 bedroom buildings in Bangkok? Preferably in a connected/central area :)

(yes I looked at older posts but they were years old and hoping for newer info from you lovely people ✨)

Thanks in advance ❤️
