Does your space actually feel like you?

Lately I’ve been thinking about how much a person’s environment affects them emotionally.

Like…have you ever been in a room that technically had everything you needed, but still didn’t feel comforting, inspiring, peaceful, or even like “you”?

I’m an artist currently rebuilding the direction of my rug/home decor brand, and I realized I’ve spent so much time trying to figure out aesthetics that I almost skipped over the emotional side of space completely.

Now I’m curious:

What actually makes a space feel like home to you?

Not just visually.
Emotionally.

Is it colors?
Lighting?
Textures?
Personality?
Memories?
Warmth?
Organization?
Art?
Nostalgia?
Quietness?

Or have you ever felt disconnected from your space completely?

I’d genuinely love to hear different perspectives because I think environments affect us way more deeply than we realize.
