Hi everyone,

I’m currently applying for Snr. Java Dev/Tech Lead type roles in BC public sector (mainly BCGEU, BC Pension Corporation, Metro Vancouver roles in BC).

I wanted to ask if anyone here has:

1. Applied to similar roles recently

2. Gotten interviews or offers from these organizations

3. Any experience with the hiring process

4. Tips on how referrals work in these public sector jobs

I’ve noticed responses are quite slow and not much visibility on status updates, so I’m trying to understand what actually helps move applications forward. Also, if referrals are possible in these organizations, how does one usually get them?
