First KDP Release - Short Romance (Learning Experience So Far)
Hi everyone,
I just published my first Kindle ebook and wanted to share my experience so far and get some advice from those more experienced.
It’s a short enemies-to-lovers billionaire romance Currently free on Kindle Unlimited. I know most books in this niche are much longer, but I’m experimenting with short reads and planning to build a series and bundle later.
So far, the biggest challenges for me were:
- Formatting correctly for Kindle
- Understanding categories and which to select
- Deciding whether to use ads or just focus on organic growth
For those who’ve published short fiction:
- Did you find better traction after multiple releases?
- Did Kindle Unlimited reads matter more than sales early on?
- Any tips for engagements
