Sorry life update dump
I started C25K at the beginning of the year, completed week 3 on March 2nd while on holiday, got home and found a lump on my doggo which turned out to be a mast cell tumor. He’s been my running partner, so in between helping him with recovery from the op etc I did not go running.
Then he was back to normal activity and we worked to get his fitness up which we did just in time for us to find another lump. Soft cell sarcoma this time, another op and we are finally getting to the end of his recovery period.
Today I had to take my car for the yearly MOT and as it was a good run distance from my house I decided it was time to try running again. I considered going back to week 1, or redoing week 3, but in the end I plowed ahead with week 4 justering see what would happen.
I surprised myself by surviving 😁 it was hard but I managed to keep running during the run intervalls. I did pause it once during the walk section to walk for about a minute more before the next run but overall really happy with how it went. I even improved my time per km to 8min22sec from 9min16sec in March. So yeah feel really good about restarting and feel even better about my boy being on the mend
