My wife recently lost her wedding ring and band, they were separate items. I have coverage through my renters insurance. They are asking for the original receipt, that I have. The main ring was purchased 8 years ago and the band was 2 years ago .

Is the number they come back with negotiable as I’m positive the cost of replacement has gone up, but I’m getting an exact replacement cost soon once the jeweler has a response from their vendor. This is in WI, US.
