I feel like i dont have much of an art direction, I keep changing artstyles because I think thats the issue i dont like my styles because their boring to me, im practicing anatomy, and trying what I can but I feel discouraged looking at my art compared to what I WANT to make.

I dont really like the childish vibe, I dont like the lack of storytelling, I dont like the exclusion of detail, the style, or anything, I really dont want to come off as negative these are just things that really bother me about my style whenever I take a step back and actually look at it.

The artist I included at the end have artstyles I really enjoy, I love their storytelling, a few of them have speedpaints and tutorials I've watched and am going to study again after this, and the details are really good too, im not trying to compare them their art is just similar to what my goals are.

Trying to study anatomy and clothing (references from dreamgia)

(Credits to the creator of the art i used: https://dreamalgia.com/)

Ive been struggling with 3 main things, thoes being anatomy, clothing, and compositions, I really like how these practices turned out especially the anatomy ones.

For the clothing I feel like mines is very flat and boring especially as someone who makes like vampires, humanoid star beings, menhera inspired stuff, ect it just feels boring and the clothes dont look like they fit the bodies at all.

For posing/anatomy alot of the posing is really boring because ive struggled finding poses that I like and the ones that I do like are rather ambitious and hard to visualize or put into fluition so it comes out rather boring, on top of that I could never find a method that I wanted to do consistently (this one is winning me over).

Is the background too overwhelming?

I worry about making backgrounds especially ones with brighter colors because im worried it makes things harder to see or telling what to focus on, ofc composition plays a role in this but still.
