I took all of your advice and got orochimaru some new substrate, fake plants and some dried banana leaves. I think he’s still getting used to it. What do yall think of it? Anything i should change or add. I have extra coco and sand if needed. He seems to just walk back and forth along the glass for right now.
I picked him up yesterday and got some things for him. Hes two years old and this will be my first reptile. Im still learning a lot but i think he likes to be handled because he’ll crawl on my shoulder and just sleep there. I was wondering if theres anything i should know or common misconceptions about them. I want him to live a long happy and healthy life. I was told to leave the heatlamp on 24/7 on one side and then the other is supposed to be cool. I also have a uv lamp across the top that i leave on for about 12 hours a day. He’ll bask on his little log or just crawl on the glass and then i’ll let him out to roam around. I also have two medium sized dogs but he seems to be cool around them and my dogs dont care. I got everything the place told me to get but if i need anything or should move stuff around please let me know. Any advice is appreciated.
