How is the Level Design?

The biggest thing holding me back from buying the game is the sour taste left in my mouth from The Skywalker Saga. I know they are going for an immersive, open world Gotham which feels similar to the open world of the Star Wars galaxy. If they are using the open world in a similar fashion, can someone provide some insight into the individual level designs?

The best thing about the older TT games was going back into the levels with a full roster of characters to seek out the hidden collectibles and unreachable areas. They were typically 20-40 minutes to replay and you could go back through the full story if you wanted to. Skywalker Saga severely limited what a level was to the point some were over in less than five minutes and the story relied on using the open world so that there were massive gaps in replay value.
