What are the genetic tests that can contribute to a diagnosis

I am in the process of getting diagnosed. I have done sleep studies for sleep apnea and an MSLT. The issue in my mind is that the MSLT is based on one night/day of sleeping. It’s a lab, it’s uncomfortable, it doesn’t take into account how well you’ve been sleeping prior to your arrival. If for nothing other than my own edification, I’m interested in getting data that’s more concrete.

Can anyone recommend genetic tests, or frankly ANY test, that would provide some clarity?

Just to add, I like my doctor. He’s an expert and more importantly, accepts my insurance. I am grateful to have him. But his office is beyond busy, and everything takes MONTHS to get done. To schedule a test, it takes 3 months. To read the results, 2 months. There was an issue with the first MSLT, so now we are starting over, so another 5 months for results. He’s methodical I guess, but in no hurry (lol.) I am SUFFERING and want ANSWERS. I am trying to be patient but it is difficult when everyday is an impossible struggle and I can’t access any treatment until the testing is complete.

Any help from this community would be so appreciated. Thank you!
