Prototype (I think?) OLPC XO-1 B4 refuses to turn on
Hi, recently I found one of these computers lying around, and after connecting a 12V DC jack (center positive) to the DC input, the laptop seems to boot, sometimes even showing the OLPC logo on screen and displaying a startup chime, before quickly shutting off. When the laptop shuts off, I can hear a small crack noise around the bottom of the screen. This behaviour is repeatable, sometimes not even getting to where the screen turns on, but if the screen does manage to turn on, it always switches off at the same point.
Does anyone know if this is a common issue, or how to fix it?
Also was just wondering if these things are rare or not? I've researched all around and found very little information about the B4 prototype, and I haven't been able to spot a prototype laptop on eBay (not explicitly listed anyway)
