My first attempt at poetry
Guys, I might just have written one of the worst poems (if you can call it that) you've ever read. It's also my first poem lol. I couldn't sleep, and these words just popped into my head, so this was written at like 12 am. Anyway, here it is:
Your every move plays at my heartstrings
Every look leaves my wondering.
"Was that for me?"
I just don't know how to make you see
How much I like you
It's starting to cloud my view
Not a moment, not an hour gone by
Where I didn't think of you
You're my last thought at night
And my first at first light
There's a whole 'nother side of me
I'm just dying to let you see
On the inside, I'm different to what you've seen
You're the greatest girl that's ever been
Say yes to me, darling
I'll treat you like a queen
I know just rhyme doesn't make it poetry
But I've done what I can to the best of my ability
These are probably the worst verses you've ever read
'Cause these are just words that popped into my head
Birthed by my love for you
Came spilliing into view
Bursting out of my head and--
Babe, I love you
Guys should I give this to my crush or will I get slapped
