Question about probation when transferring between NSW Government agencies
Hi all, I’m currently permanently employed in the NSW Public Service and I’m expecting an offer from another NSW statutory authority for a role at the same grade. As I have already completed probation within the NSW Public Service, I’m considering whether it would be appropriate to request that any written offer not include a new probation period. Given the current economic climate, maintaining the protection of ongoing employment is important to me.
Would raising this with the hiring manager be reasonable, or could it be viewed negatively?
