Gleneagle pool closed for cleaning today – anyone know what happened?

Bit of a long shot, but does anyone know what actually happened at the pool in the Gleneagle today?

It was closed for "cleaning," which seems a bit unusual on a weekend, so I'm just curious if there was another reason behind it. Not looking to start rumours, just trying to find out what happened if anyone knows.

Best MLCP pipe cutter + gift ideas for a working plumber?

I’m looking for some advice because I’m buying a present for a plumber friend of mine.

He’s full-time on heating/heat pump installs and works with MLCP/aluminium multilayer pipe (16–32/42mm) daily, he does everything from bathroom to more conplicated retro fits and new builds. He mentioned to me recently that the cutter he has is pretty poor and goes blunt quickly, especially on the aluminium core pipe so I want to upgrade him with something proper.

From what I’ve seen, the main names that keep coming up are:

REMS

Rothenberger

MCC (Japan)

Uponor

Ridgid

Knipex (tight spaces)

Virax

I found this one REMS ROS P 42P for 103 euro, is it a good cutter and is the price good?

It seems like REMS and Rothenberger are the most common “daily driver” choices, with some lads swearing by the dedicated Uponor cutter if they’re mainly on that system.

So I’m basically trying to figure out:

If you were working full-time on MLCP every day, what cutter would you actually want in your toolbox?

Something that feels like a real upgrade — not just “grand”, but something you’d genuinely be happy to reach for every day.

Also any other gift ideas?

Thanks in advance.
