Making Simple Software

Over the last few months I started getting really interested in MicroSaaS because I got tired of business models that completely depend on trading time for money.

I realized even successful service businesses can become exhausting because the second you stop working… income slows down too.

So I started learning about tiny software products built for niche problems.

Not huge startups.

Just simple tools that help a specific group of people do something easier.

One thing that’s been working really well for ideas is using TikTok Creator Insights to spot trends, problems, and things people constantly complain about online… then turning those into software ideas.

What surprised me most was how different things are now with AI + no-code tools.

I’m not some hardcore developer, but using tools like ChatGPT, Lovable, and other no-code platforms made it feel way more realistic to actually build software products.

The strategy I’ve been following is basically:
- find a niche problem
- validate demand
- build a simple MVP
- improve it over time
- focus on recurring revenue instead of one-time payments

Honestly feels like we’re still really early in this space.

If anyone wants the guide/framework I’ve been using, comment “MICRO” and I’ll send it over.

Let AI build the simple software and you make the money

I honestly think MicroSaaS is becoming one of the most overlooked opportunities online right now.

Not massive Silicon Valley startups…

I’m talking about tiny software products built to solve one specific problem for one specific niche.

Things like:
- scheduling tools
- local business automations
- creator dashboards
- AI workflow tools
- invoicing systems
- niche CRMs
- content planners

What’s interesting is how much AI + no-code tools changed the game.

A few years ago you needed:
- developers
- funding
- technical knowledge
- huge teams

Now people are building MVPs in weekends using tools like ChatGPT, Bubble, Lovable, and other no-code platforms.

And unlike most side hustles, software has leverage.

You don’t need more hours to grow revenue.

A tiny app with even 100 users paying monthly can become a serious income stream over time.

That’s why I’ve been spending a lot of time researching:
- MicroSaaS validation
- pricing models
- no-code MVP systems
- AI workflows
- niche research
- launch strategies

Honestly feels like we’re still super early.

I ended up organizing a lot of the frameworks, prompts, guides, and research I was using into a full blueprint because there’s so much scattered information online around this space.

Curious if anyone else here has been experimenting with MicroSaaS or AI-powered no-code businesses yet?

Been seeing more and more regular people quietly launch MicroSaaS products that hit $1K–$15K MRR with zero coding. Anyone else diving into this or still on the fence?

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how the “trade time for money” trap is starting to feel outdated for a lot of us. You know the drill — clients, freelance work, or the 9-5 — while you see normal folks (not devs, not with big funding) building tiny software tools that generate real recurring revenue on autopilot.
A lot of it seems to come down to AI + no-code tools now. The barrier to actually shipping something useful in a couple weeks is lower than it’s ever been.
I went down the rabbit hole recently and came across this MicroSaaS Empire bundle that bundles together a full step-by-step blueprint plus 8 practical assets: the core launch blueprint, a founder workbook, demand validation tool, 14-day MVP roadmap, pricing strategies, a huge AI prompt vault, a free/$0 toolstack, and a launch day playbook. It’s all designed for beginners and side-hustlers who don’t want to touch code.
They also send you the MicroSaaS Success Blueprint ebook instantly when you drop your email (no spam, I checked). I grabbed the full bundle earlier for the current price and the free ebook alone was a solid read — it lays out the exact process without the usual fluff.
If you’re someone who’s been curious about building something small that could pay you every month but always got stuck on the tech side, this feels like one of the more practical resources I’ve seen lately.
Curious where you all are at with this:
• Have you tried building any kind of MicroSaaS or no-code tool yet?
• What’s worked or what held you back?
