Got her moved!

Got her moved, decided to do the box. She was super well behaved. She regurgitated a couple times when I got her in the cage, but has been exploring and eating and talking up a storm! I think she likes it.

Yes, that perch is upside down and her old one. Gonna flip it as soon as she lets me and I think my new ones come tomorrow.right now, she’s kind of attracted to it.

Thank you to all who gave me the courage to move her!

What is this behavior? I think she’s choking or she loves me?!

She kept coming at me and made little burp like sounds, so I thought she might be choking on a piece of grape I gave her. Then she spread her wings and rubbed her face all over my hand. I panicked because I thought that I didn’t wash my hands well enough and had something toxic on them.she stopped with the gurgle and I think it was a regurgitate. You think she was loving on me?? She would mouth me but not bite, and oddly she didn’t want her usual nightly pets. She also didn’t want to get off my hand. Oh god I don’t want to kill her before I even get her home!

Ideas on transporting grey

I’ve been given this little lady from my elderly neighbor who isn’t taking care of her well. I’ve spent the last few weeks working with her and she’ll get on my hand and let me pet her and she’s friendly. Although she was poorly taken care of, in the last year.

I need to move her to the clean cage I have at my house. I don’t think there’s a cage she’ll fit in at my neighbors house and I doubt she can fly well and lord knows if she ever had a wing clipped. (Do they still even clip a wing?)I have lots of bird experience but the biggest I had was a cockatiel and they were all very tame family members.

Can I get her out and put her in a big box for the short trip next door? A blanket? Gosh I have no idea. She’ll likely bite if I try to wrap her, so I want to make this easy. Have a friend coming over. I’ll have to get a travel cage to take her to the vet eventually. I know she’s old, I’ve known her for over 25 years.

She’s a picky eater, but I’m getting her to eat more variety. I swear my neighbor was feeding her wild bird food for a while. She loves her eggs, but I only give her about a quarter of a scrambled eggs. How much and often can they have those? She’s picky about fruit but loves orange and peels, but I wasn’t sure about orange peels for her. I’ve been giving her a variety of things that I googled were safe and trying to get her on pellet food. She’s better about eating it.

Ok all that was just info, but I still gotta move her. Help!

LPT Always Get Your Gas Receipt

Get a gas receipt anytime you get gas for any reason. If something is wrong with the gas, like oops it was actually water I just put into my car, its the one thing that will help you get the gas station to handle the situation. Had it happen once, and it was quickly addressed and fixed (and paid for by their insurance)
