I’m spending 4 nights near Tofte, MN Sept 14-18 with the intention of trying my luck at salmon fishing from shore. So, I’m just wondering if anyone is willing to offer up some tips and advice on what to use for lures or bait, and any spots to try, within a hour or so drive of the Tofte area.

Also, if there’s any decent spots inland for any shore fishing opportunities in that area, those might come in handy too, in case the big lake is angry.
