The only thing that has changed between this side by side is that I ADDED more things to the big base on the left.
I am genuinely so impressed by how large of an increase in performance this is, well done devs.
(edit) I would also like to add that both of these clips were recorded while playing the game at the highest graphics settings it would allow!
I've re-made the Fnaf 1 map so many times in so many games it was only a matter of time.

I really wanted to test the limits of just how far you can push the base building in SN2 and ended up building and detailing a base for around 3 hours. There really is no limit to the creative possibilities with these bases, the only drawback is the framerate slowdown. Also there are a few things I would like to see added such as: the ability to curve windows around square rooms, the ability to click and drag to extend and build bigger windows, and maybe some more interior floor and ceiling decorations. Maybe also adding some way to increase how far you can extend the rooms would also be really helpful! (For those wondering, at full Epic graphics and DLSS on quality this base runs at an average of just under 30 fps)
Don't mind me just casually summoning Subnautica 2 :)
I'm actually so excited for the new bases they look incredible
