2019 Audi A5 Prestige S Line – Audio keeps pausing/cutting out on CarPlay and Bluetooth
For the last few days, I’ve been having a weird audio/MMI issue with my 2019 Audi A5.
Audio randomly pauses/cuts out multiple times while driving.
Happens with both Apple CarPlay and Bluetooth.
I replaced the USB cable with a different one, but the problem continues.
With the new cable, I’m also occasionally hearing radio/static-like sounds while playing music through CarPlay.
The MMI screen has also gone completely black while driving. Holding the volume/power button to reboot it didn’t bring it back immediately.
Unplugging and reconnecting the USB sometimes temporarily fixes the audio.
Has anyone experienced something similar? Could this be an MMI/software issue, amplifier problem, USB module, or something electrical?
Any suggestions on what I should check before taking it to Audi?
