While given permission to post, I still want to make this state hospitals name anonymous. However, you may be able to find clues to which one.

This is a private museum - only intended for staff and community members with exclusive permission to view.

I spent the entirety of this internship this spring semester organizing all the objects seen here. I was given this one room and somehow we made it work! The last photo is how it was before.

If you have any questions, I’m more than willing to answer!

(First photo is of the dome from the state hospital’s administration building - built in 1887)

Hey, folks! I know it’s been a while, but I’ve been in the trenches! I already sent this out to the What is it subreddit, but I’m waiting for approval.

I’m continuing in my casual museum work at the state hospital/mental institute I’m interning at, and a couple of collections are making me scratch my head…The first is the discs which are heavier than a quarter, but roughly the same size, and painted with white lead paint. And the second is something that looks somewhat like a ring toss thingy mabobber.

Keep in mind, all sorts of objects are in this museum including patient artworks, furniture, crafts supplies, kitchen, wood work, building, farming, and medical supplies.

Curious what you guys think!
