How do you meet like minded people?
I am a road and gravel cyclist. I like speed and long distance riding, and I have some friends who share this passion. However, what I truly enjoy is going far, like 300 km or more in a single day.
That is why I am planning to do either the Mother North Race (1,100 km with 18,000 m of elevation), or Bright Midnight (1,100 km with 20,000 m of elevation) next year.
However, I do not know anyone who would join me on such an adventure, and I definitely would not do something like that on my own.
So where do you meet people like that? I have lots of friends, and some of them are cyclists, but none of them would do something like this. I have also never heard of anyone in my friend groups knowing someone who would do such a thing, or who has already done something similar. Do you guys have advice?
