Metallic “charm” for car?

I have this really pretty thing that looks like a silverish bangle bracelet that hangs from my car’s rearview mirror. It had this small, maybe 1”x1” “charm” that hang from it and inside is a scent tablet…looks like a giant green vitamin. I’m 100% sure this is a Yankee Candle item, but I’ll be damned if I can find them, or their refills, anywhere. If it weren’t hanging right there, in my car, I’d think I’d imagined it, lol.

Anybody know what these were called, so my Google searches are a bit more targeted? I’m not a “let’s have multiple things hanging from my rear view mirror” kinda gal and I like the simplicity and look of the bangle. I’m not interested in hanging some cheap plastic jar candle lookalike thing there, too. And I also don’t like the look of these “sidekick” things. I like my little charm bangle! I know I can probably find some of those refill tablets on eBay…if I could remember what they were called. 🤦‍♀️ Brain fog is the worst.

I love/hate Y o u T u b e

You-Tube: “Removing seats is simple. Just unscrew 4 bolts, unplug the electric wires et voila! Seat comes out easy peasy.”

Me: “👍”

(2 hours later, having thrown wrenches, cried a little, invented some new curse words, sweated through 2 shirts and shed enough blood that if I ever go missing and they CSI this car, they’ll think I was murdered in it and someone tried to clean it up)

Me: “One down, one to go.”😩

I eventually did get both seats removed and the carpet replaced. And I only had one of the 8 bolts snap off. 🤬 Anyone have a recommendation for something to help loosen seized bolts/screws in case I run across any others in the same situation? There are a lot of options out there, but I would like to get the name of one that has actually worked for any of you. I have a great anti-seize paste, but that’s strictly a preventative against future corrosion.

Rear window gasket conundrum

So, the rear upper and lower window gaskets of my 2003 Mustang GT pretty much disintegrated. Naturally, I bought replacements and went about figuring out how to replace them. Bottom gasket went in, easy peasy. Top gasket? Apparently, you have to have a pro do it, since the entire window has to be removed to do it. Called 2 national auto glass chains, neither will do it unless you buy their gasket. But I already have the damn gasket. **sigh**

Called a local place that was recommended to me. Guy talked to me like a slow child and told me that removing the gaskets would damage the window, so it will HAVE to be replaced. It took me telling him 3 times that the gasket had already been removed and the window was intact, before he actually listened to what I was saying. And then he told me that I still had to buy an entire new window, as the gasket comes bonded to it. Like, really? So, how come they sell the gaskets as separate parts if you have to replace the entire rear window in order to get a new one? JFC, I feel like it’s taking longer to find someone to do the work than it would to just do it. Anyone ever removed/reinstalled their own rear windows?🤦‍♀️

Opinions on best dslr for fast focus, action shots?

My husband loves his dslr camera over his iPhone camera and it really does take stellar photos of landscapes, portraits and other “things that sit still”, lol. But it’s not a fast focus camera and often shots taken of wildlife from a moving car (because we are not idiots trying to get eaten or gored) or sports pics end up blurry, as this camera just doesn’t auto-focus fast enough. I’m getting a decent work bonus, in the near future, and I’d like to get him a nice dslr that handles the “quick focus, sharp photos” stuff. I’m trying not to go too far over the $600 mark, though. In your opinion, are there any solid quality dslr’s, that fit the bill, for this price range? I’ve read umpteen online reviews but you never know if they’re for real or for profit. So, I wanted to ask people who actually use these cameras. Thank you, in advance!! (Template below)

(1) Budget ($600) country (USA) & currency (USD)

(2) What equipment, if any, you have now and why is it no longer meeting your needs? Currently owns a Nikon Coolpix P900

(3) What kinds of subjects do you intend to shoot? Sporting events, wildlife and while-we-are-driving landscapes/sights

(4) Is it primarily for photography, videography, or both? Just photography

I’m stumped ☹️

I have easily 300 different driver heads in myriad styles. But this? This, I do not have. It looks like I need a hollow torx head?? Anyone seen this before? Tried searching for “hollow torx” on Amazon and didn’t see anything that might fit. But it’s late and my capacity for descriptive wording drops drastically after midnight, lol. If someone knows what this type of screw this is called or maybe the name of the driver head, you’d be saving me from the rabbit warren that is Google.

How to get this dried wax off?

Bought a project car. 😁 Awesome 2003 black Mustang GT. Seller was a super nice guy who washed and waxed it before delivering it. Except…there’s now dried white wax in all sorts of hard to get to places, like this…any ideas on how I can get rid of this crud? I’m less worried about it in the metal-to-metal seams. A q-tip or plastic blade will work in those. But the plastic honeycomb? Im drawing a blank. Also, I’m hot, tired and probably a bit dehydrated from doing a thorough carpet cleaning on her. So, my thought processes are a bit sluggish at the moment, lol. Any suggestions or solutions?

Also, the car doesn’t smell great. Hoping a 90-minute session with my Bissell, after it’s dried…which won’t be long in this heat…will help it not smell so bad. It’s this awful mix of odors…Febreeze, old cigarette smoke, mold and old plastic. The smell combined with the heat gave me a doozy of a headache. Any suggestions on knocking down the “old car smell” of an old car would also be welcome. The carpet cleaning should help, I hope. 🤞 2 tanks of really brown water tell me that has to be part of it.

Neverending cough?

My husband (m55) and I (f54), both non-smokers without asthma, have both had viruses in the past year (not covid or flu) that have resulted in an annoying cough that lasted for many weeks past when the other virus symptoms went away. And I can’t even count on two hands, the number of people who have complained of the same thing…even folks much younger than us. And we all seem to be getting the same line, “Yeah, sometimes this stuff just lingers.” from medical professionals. In some cases, the lingering cough even turned into pneumonia. And this seems to be a relatively new thing. Is this the result of something specific? Are there any studies being done on this? We’ve even lost several high-profile celebrities, recently, due to “complications from pneumonia”. It just makes me wonder if there is something I should be watching for or careful of, that isn’t being put out there, due to all the CDC and scientific research cutbacks. I had RSV several years ago and that took me down, hard. It was really scary. So, I’m more than a little paranoid about respiratory stuff, these days. I don’t ever again want to feel like I’m drowning when I’m nowhere near water.
