Block start analysis
Only getting into Masters running and hoping to do first event this weekend (400m in M40 category). I'm coming down from years of marathons so it's a big transition. Haven't done any blocks training but thought I may give it a go before race day! I know it's not perfect but would be happy to get some constructive criticism if anyone had a few minutes to review.
What I think is wrong:
left foot cycles out of the blocks, need to focus on more of toe drag technique
I stand up too quick (I was just doing 5m of running to focus purely on blocks)
maybe get back a bit more rounded to create tension
What I think is good:
pushing off with both feet
right foot has low heal recovery
arms have a good swing
Thanks in advance
PS I think this is a good angle for analysis but maybe someone might suggest otherwise
