Amp recs for personal use

I have been playing guitar (Stratocaster mainly RHCP and Hendrix-esque stuff) for a couple years consistently now and I have only been using a Mustang Micro Plus pocket amp with headphones during this time. I still love using that pocket amp however I’m looking to get an actual amp now.

My budget would probably be $400-$500 on the high end and would prefer something closer to the $200-$250 range. I’ve been doing a lot of “research” on the Mustang LT25, LT40S, and LT50. From that list I’ve narrowed it down more to the LT25 because again this is just for at home use and don’t care as much about the playback power of the LT40S. The other amp I was looking at was the orange crush 20rt.

My dilemma is I don’t want to buy the Mustang LT25 and then in a year or 2 realize I should’ve gotten a better performing amp instead of an amp that has all the presets in it however I don’t know if that’ll outweigh the cost of having to get a bunch of pedals to get that same change in tone. I also could just plug in my Mustang micro and aux that into an amp if I really want to change the tone but not sure how that would sound.

TLDR; I’m looking for beginner-ish amps but willing to pay for something nice that I won’t out grow too soon. Just casual at home play.
