Moving from m4/3 Suggestions
• Budget: It has to justify being bought over a used S1rii. I'd prefer under $2,000 USD.
• Country: USA.
• Condition: I'm partial to pre-owned.
• Type of Camera: Mirrorless.
• Intended use: Hybrid. Video leaning. But want to get back into daily photos to save memories.
• If photography; what style: Candids. Street photography.
• If video what style: Starting out with light vlogging. Will document certain memories. Then move onto using my degree and get back into content creation.
• What features do you absolutely need: I need an EVF. If I wanted to just look at my screen I'd stick with my phone.
• What features would be nice to have: Full frame. Any sensor that lets me try and do some super low light photos and videos. I want to stick with one mount of lenses as well.
• Portability: Small bag friendly! Even better if it fits into a medium bag of I need to take a larger lens.
• Cameras you're considering: Considered the Panasonic S9 - but there is no hotshoe and EVF is a killer. The Panasonic LX10 looks nice but I'd have to stay with M4/3 and limit myself. The Sigma Fp L looks good on glance. And I'm trying to tell myself NOT to buy the S1rii because I truly don't need all that camera right now.
• Cameras you already have: I have a Panasonic G7. I love it. I don't have GAS but I do want to have a camera I can push the limits of and I really want to move onto a larger sensor camera. I absolutely LOVED my Panasonic LX100 when I had one ages ago. I liked how small it was. But the lack of articulating screen was a major downside. I now swapping out lenses.
• Notes: Take pity on a teacher's pockets with your suggestions.
If the formatting is odd I'm on mobile and I apologize.
EDIT 1: Log would be nice. Capabilities to color grade the footage is a want but not a need if there are prebaked and attractive color profiles.
