Skin Concept: Papeman (A character literally made of a sheet of paper!)
Hey everyone! My name is Elen, and I had this crazy idea late at night before going to sleep—it just wouldn't leave my head. I apologize for not having a professional drawing, as I only know the basics of sketching!
The whole idea is for the skin, body, arms, legs, hands, and feet to be entirely made of paper. I even thought about giving him classic cartoon gloves/arms (like Mickey Mouse), but I kept it simple.
The Papeman Set:
Skin: Papeman Reactive features: When taking damage, he gets holes or black burn marks (similar to Peely). He gets dirty as the match goes on, and if you slide/fall, his paper edges get slightly torn! If he catches fire, the edges burn away just like real burning paper.
Back Bling (Needs a name! Suggestions welcome!):It looks like a mini version of Papeman! He just watches everything, with eyes that move, blink, and react—getting all angry and going into a fierce fighting pose when you enter combat. His little limbs move dynamically as you run around.
Pickaxe Option 1: "Circular Cutter" As the name says, a rotary paper cutter wheel*.* This was my very first and favorite idea!
Pickaxe Option 2: "Paper Scythe" A scythe made out of folded and sharp layered paper sheets.
Glider (Needs a name! Suggestions welcome!): Just a giant sheet of paper with something written on it, and your character holds onto it as it flutters and reacts to the wind physics like a real sheet in a breeze.
Contrail: "Paper Storm" Just the obvious and satisfying effect: a bunch of tiny paper scraps flying around as if a strong wind blew them away.
Emote: "Paper Cut-astrophe" He looks down at his body, panicking and getting scared/surprised as he checks himself for holes, dirt, or tears.
I'm from Brazil, so English isn't my first language, but I'm trying my best to share this concept with the global community! What do you guys think? I'd love to know if an idea like this could work in Fortnite. Hope you like it!
