Unfortunately, Reddit has permanently marked r/womenarrested as NSFW. Despite multiple appeals, Reddit has been firm on their decision to classify this content as sexual in nature. This leads to a couple of substantial changes to what can be posted on the subreddit:

1. Due to Reddit restrictions, native video can no longer be posted to r/womenarrested. This is a feature built into Reddit that cannot be modified. Workarounds, such as RedGifs can be used, similar to how they are used on other NSFW subreddits.

2. Because we are now marked as NSFW, some previously restricted content may now be allowed. While content on this subreddit must remain focused on arrests, we will begin to allow slightly more suggestive content. These posts and comments had been previously restricted, because the intent of this subreddit was to maintain SFW status to avoid the video restriction stated above.

3. Please keep in mind that this subreddit continues to be focused on women being arrested or going to jail, specifically. There are many other excellent subreddits for handcuffing content outside of the context of arrests/jail. Posts in this subreddit should be themed around arrest related content.

At the creation of this subreddit, the original founder (Bailee Johnson) intended for this to be a place where everyone could safely enjoy discussing and sharing arrest content. I hope that we can continue this tradition despite this change, so that she has a strong subreddit to return to when she is released from prison next May.

Thank you all for your understanding and continued engagement!
