The Helmut Kentler case has been mentioned a few times here as well as this article, but god damn is it dark.
>Kentler was born to a German family. His father worked in the Nazi German government. Kentler's parents followed the childcare techniques of Moritz Schreber, who argued the authority of fathers and suppression of children's emotion would create a stronger race of men
I was watching Naoki Urasawa’s Monster - anime/manga about an East German serial killer - and my eyebrow raised when it’s revealed that the East German state wanted to create the next Hitler by experimenting on and abusing children to find the strongest one. Beyond CIA experimentations, GLADIO / strategy of tension, Marc Dutroux, I thought I remembered there being similar cases in West Germany which led me down to learning about the Kentler Project.
