My lab results display that a normal ferritin level is above 7.3. I've never seen a number that low displayed as normal on any other lab results or on any literature ever. I usually see 12 or 15 as the lower limit of normal range. What benefit is there to this office using a much lower number? And of course my doctor is not especially concerned about my 5.3 level. I was told to just take ferrous sulfate 325 tabs and come back in a few months. 😭
