Hello,

I’m looking for advice to help my Monstera. There are two stems in the pot and they’ve been that way since I got the plant. One stem is wrinkled and its leaves are wilting, browning, and crisping. The other stem isn’t wrinkled but its leaves are also wilting; a juvenile leaf that was unfurling before I left seems stunted and is browning at the edge but not crispy.

My care routine is: I check the soil and water when it’s almost dry (typically once a month in winter and every 1–2 weeks during the growing season), I dust the leaves every three weeks, and I fertilize monthly from late spring through late summer. The Monstera sits near a west-facing window and is shaded by a large tree that prevents harsh afternoon sun.

For context, I’ve had this Monstera for almost seven years and she’s one of my favourite plants. I was away for three months and rented my room to a friend of a friend. While I was gone, that person tried to “fix” the plant: they removed some leaves with mild damage, cut most of the aerial roots off, and stuck a metal curtain rod into the soil and tied the plant to it.

**I also included a photo of what my Monstera looked like prior to being "fixed". I am aware that she looked a bit chaotic with the aerial roots, sword, and belt, but she was happy and healthy before being meddled with.**

Any advice would be much appreciated
