Planning a Sri Lanka trip with my college friends in mid-may, 5 of us, and a bit confused about getting around locally.
We’ll mostly be on the east coast, and just 1–2 days on the south-west side since we heard it might be rainy there.
What’s the best way to travel within these areas? Like for eg.
- are tuk tuks easily available or not really?
- for 5 people, does it make more sense to just get a rented car/driver?
- are scooters more practical there (roads + distances)?
- is petrol easily available if we rent scooters?
Also, if we’re out late partying and heading back around 2–3am, will we actually find tuk tuks or anything? or do we need to plan that in advance?
Basically just looking for the easiest + cheapest way to get around without it becoming a headache.
Any advice would really help :)
