To be transparent, I am an alumnus and not a current student of the University of Calgary. The professor in question is a friend of mine, and over the last year has become an avid supporter of LLMs and a habitual user. They speak of how much time and effort it saves them, especially in grading. I'm aware the university does not have a prohibition against using AI for their staff but requires disclosure and the use of an authorized tool. So, how does the student body feel about a professor using AI to grade their work, as well as the implications of that?
