Stuck on w3!
Was on holiday and tried to do 1st run of w3 on a treadmill - pulled calf muscle. Gave it a week, came home and completed run 1. Went to do run 2...got to the 1st 3 minute run and went too fast.. was out of breathe, slowed to a walk then ran again and pulled the calf muscle again.
Husband looked at my strava data and said I was going far too fast in that section (5/6mins per km) and need to slow it right down...it recorded that segment it as a sprint on strava(!) I know myself I don't have the stamina or ability for that speed. My usual speed is around 8/9mins per km so idk what I was doing.
How can I slow down for these longer runs? I don't even feel like I'm going fast but am obviously comparing myself to those who have been running for a long time.
I am worried about even trying again as I just feel like I'll pull that muscle again. I just feel like I'm putting too much pressure on myself and don't want to fail.
