Starting MHT at 61
Sadly, I didn’t seek hormone therapy at a younger age. And despite regular checkups it was never recommended to me. I didn’t have terrible menopause, and was aware of the possible cancer risk, so I didn’t research the options. Now that I know more about the vast benefits of estrogen, I want to start MHT, but my practitioner is hesitant to prescribe at my age. My risk for cardiovascular disease is quite low, and I think I’m quite healthy. My menopause started at 53, so I’m only 8 years out. Any experience starting MHT after 60? Any advice on finding an online practitioner? Thanx!!
