So I'm trying to recruit 2 friends for the pet, first one went fine but my 2nd friend for some reason doesn't count, even though it says he just has to finish the tutorial and discover Ragni (which he did), but on the friend recruit it says he hasn't finished it and it only says "Accepted", not "Rewarded"

Just got done with The House of Twain and God damn that quest sucked :( it seems like a lot of the quests near my level lean into puzzles, and I'm absolutely terrible at those, are there gonna be a lot more of those style of quests as I progress into the level 50-60+ range or is this just a rough patch?
I really enjoyed most of the early game quests since they're not super long and they're mostly fighting based, but I also particularly enjoyed Recover The Past too, are the late game quests like those or not really :P
I have a level 49 lightbender mage class from like 2023 I think, should I continue from there and relearn and figure out how to use it, or would I get a better experience starting from scratch
Note: I just got done getting to level 61 on an archer and sadly I've come to the conclusion that it's just not fun for me so going through all the early game might be a bit of a drag, but idk if you have any tips to make the early game more fun I'd like to know
I'm level 61 rn and using archer and all the subclasses aren't interesting me either should I just keep pushing through in case it gets better later or should I swap classes, and if so what would you recommend since archer isn't interesting me much rn
