Joe E. Brown's Barbecue Chicken

I decided to make Joe E. Brown's Skllet Barbecue Chicken with Patio Sauce. Instead of cut-up broiler chicken, I used drumsticks and bone-in thighs.

I kept the skin on and browned the thighs 5 minutes on a side, turning the legs occasionally. Basted the chicken with the sauce every 10 minutes.

While I increased the spices slightly, it was still a thinner, mild sauce. But the chicken was very tender, and it's a very easy recipe. I'd make again but add a little hot sauce and more dry mustard. The recipe didn't specify, but I used apple cider vinegar.
