My wife plans to gift one on my birthday. I already own a Cort KX500 which has Fishman Fluence active humbucking pickups. Its an excellent guitar but active pickups are annoying sometimes as I have to unplug the cable everytime I put it away. This constant plugging unplugging the cable causes problems in the input jack.

Now looking for something that has a nice tremolo, preferably single coil or HSS combination, passive pickups, good looks and finishing.
Should I go for Fender Mexican strats? Or any good ibanez or charvel guitars in this range
