Tripod Setup- Need Help
I’m starting to dabble into the realm of distance shooting with my .308 AR. I just recently picked up a tripod, the Shadow Tech Pig 0311. The tripod itself does not come with a mount. The mounts are what’s confusing me and with these parts not being the cheapest I’d like to know what I need before I start swiping my card. I’m familiar enough with the arca attachment system and what not, but I’m leaning more toward wanting to use a clamping system like saddle. Where I’m getting hung up is does the hog saddle mount directly to the tripod? Do I need a ball head or some other connection piece as well or do I just screw(?) on the saddle directly to the tripod?
Sorry if this is obvious or super basic information and I’m just being a dumbass. Definitely over thinking it but I want to get the right parts!
