Dumfries 25M€ clause explained

Since many around here are suggesting that Dumfries should be kept at the club, I think it would be useful to explain why that isn't a realistic option, since it depends 100% on Dumfries.

Dumfries renewed his last contract demanding a release clause of 25M€ for non-Italian clubs specifically because he knew he would eventually want to move on.

25M for a player like him is a steal, so before mid July (when the clause expires) more than 1 team will come forward offering him more than what Inter is realistically able to.

That's when the Palestra Arc will end, when either Dumfries goes and that money will be reinvested into Palestra (plus extra money or player ofc) or Dumfries will stay because he had a sudden change of heart and decided to stay (unlikely, but in that case Palestra will not be bought).

Tl;dr You can skip any news regarding Palestra since nothing will happen until Dumfries is either sold or his 25M€ clause expires
