I wish shotguns and bows were better/had more variety

Shotguns have always been a favorite of mine in any video game, and bows aren't far behind. There's just something about blasting things in the face with the punchiest boomstick I can get my hands on that's always been enjoyable to me, and it's a shame that they have so little variety in a game as variable as Caves of Qud. Pistols and Rifles have a plethora of weapons to their name, from sniper rifles to chain pistols to light rails to arc winders, while shotguns only have two types and they both pale in comparison. And bows, though they have slightly more variety at 4 weapons, are still falling behind. It strikes me as odd that bows are the only ranged weapons in Qud to have multiple ammo types, and only have three weapons that can use it. Shotguns and bows don't even have their own skill trees, as both are lumped in with Rifles.

I have my fingers crossed that this will change with the update+dlc coming later this year (I think?). Maybe we could see bows and shotguns receive their own skill trees, new weapons, and maybe even new ammo types to make these weapons viable all the way to the endgame (for example, shotguns could have slug, buckshot and bird shot rounds instead of just shotgun shells, or maybe even something like a round that scatters mid-flight or a bird shot round where each individual shot explodes into little bursts of icy vapor/fire/electricity on hit). I don't know if this is something the devs are interested in doing, or if it's in the cards, but I think it would be great to see these two forgotten weapon types finally receive some love.
